Reinalie Jorolan | Uncompromising Commitment to Self, Motherhood and Community | Reinalie Jorolan, a project manager for Nonprofit Sector Link Wood Buffalo, came to Fort McMurray from the Philippines in June of 2004 through the live-in caregiver program. Her experience as a live-in caregiver inspired her to create the award winning nonprofit organization, Foreign WINGSE Resource Centre, to encourage live-in caregivers to be supportive of one another and become empowered and community minded future Canadian citizens.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
