In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (Subject to certain rules and regulations).

At just 14 years old, Valeria Cagnina is Italy’s youngest Digital Champion. The award was presented to her by Riccardo Luna – appointed the country’s European Digital Champion – during CodeIT Roma, where Valeria presented her first robot, created with Arduino.
A fan of Arduino, 3D printing and rhythmic gymnastics, Valeria still manages to find time to work as an entertainer at the Oratory and runs computer courses for pensioners and Scratch and Scratch Jr courses for kids.
Finally, Valeria loves travelling, as you can see from her blog, “Il Mondo di Valeria”, which won her the title of Youngest Travel Blogger in Italy!

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at
