Mohamed is an electrical engineer who got his B.Sc in Electrical Engineering in 2008 from the Faculty of Engineering, Helwan University, Department of Electrical Power and Machines. Mohamed joined ABB Egypt October 2008 till October 2011 as a Technical Support, Technical Trainer and Service Engineer for Power Electronics and Drives, with specialization on Motion Control. During this period he participated in several projects inside and outside Egypt. Moreover, he conducted technical trainings to several multinational companies. Mohamed is the founder of the Engineering Support Society (ESS) association

On January 2012, Mohamed joined The American University in Cairo, School of Science and Engineering as the first official Science Communicator in Egypt. His message is to simplify different fields of science in addition to creating public engagement strategy with scientists and engineers. His aim is to erase scientific illiteracy from the Egyptian society through outreaching and creating educational revolutionary activities inspired by Arvind Gupta and Sir Ken Robinson, which will lead to establishing the foundations of a Decision Maker Society.

Mohamed's main catalyst is his passion for creating a change through defined strategies and methodologies that suites the Egyptian culture and economic states. He believes that these strategies and methodologies will take Egypt to its place in the new flat world if only we focused on what our value add to the whole world not to ourselves.

About TEDx:

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations).
